Introducing the GENEQ Global International Advisory Board
Today we're proud to announce the launch of the GENEQ Global International Advisory Board (IAB). It is a significant step in achieving our mission to make genomic and precision medicine more accessible, equitable and personalised — regardless of geography or ancestry.
At GENEQ Global, we're building a long-term model of genomics implementation that supports governments, healthcare systems, companies and industry, as they design and implement genomic programmes that work for the populations they serve, not just those already best resourced to benefit.
Getting this right requires more than technical expertise alone. It requires diverse global perspectives and experience shaping our strategy from the inside.
We are therefore delighted to welcome six exceptional individuals to our International Advisory Board:

Together, they bring internationally diverse expertise spanning genomic science, bioinformatics, clinical genetics, pharmacogenomics, ethics, health policy and systems implementation, governance, equity and inclusion leadership — as well as invaluable and experience of genomic and precision medicine.
Welcoming the IAB appointments, Simeón Scott Baker, CEO of GENEQ Global said: "Establishing the IAB is a reflection of commitments we hold at the core of our work. The work of the International Advisory Board (IAB)
The IAB exists to provide objective, independent and strategic advice to our Executive Team. Specifically, the Board will:
Provide objective strategic advice
Bring insight and perspective from multiple continents
Strengthen our work in genomic science and health systems implementation
Guide our approach to ethics, equity and inclusion
Act as an advocate for equitable and responsible genomics and medicine.
The purpose of the IAB is to offer independent insight and constructive challenge to our leadership, acting as a structured forum where global expertise and and professional experience can push our thinking further.
The IAB is a voluntary, non-fiduciary advisory body. It does not hold legal or governance authority over GENEQ Global. The Board will meet quarterly, with additional strategic sessions convened as needed.
Looking Ahead
As genomic technologies scale rapidly across healthcare systems worldwide, without intentional design it risks reinforcing the very health inequities we're trying to solve. Equity has to be designed into precision medicine from the beginning — not added afterwards.
With the launch of our International Advisory Board, GENEQ Global is reaffirming a simple but essential principle: the future of genomics should benefit all populations, not just a privileged few.
We're grateful to our six inaugural Board members for lending their expertise, their scrutiny and their voice to that mission. We look forward to sharing more as our work progresses.
